ILAN is one of Israel's longest-standing and most respected nonprofit organizations, dedicated to creating a society in which people with disabilities live as independent, equal, and fully included members of the community.
For more than 70 years, ILAN has built comprehensive systems of support that accompany children, youth, and adults with disabilities and their families - from early childhood and throughout life - across all sectors of Israeli society.

Our History
Founded in 1952 by dedicated volunteers, ILAN began as a compassionate response to the needs of children with disabilities resulting from Polio - and has since grown into a national, representative organization that serves tens of thousands and shapes the conversation about accessibility and inclusion in Israel.

Today, ILAN works in close partnership with government ministries, local authorities, civil society organizations, and leading public institutions - building a broad network of cooperation that reaches communities throughout the country.
